The Red Cross responds to disasters and conflicts around the world. From earthquakes to floods, conflicts to terrorist attacks, the Red Cross is there, providing help to those who most need it.
In the immediate aftermath of a disaster, we provide first aid, medical care, water, food, shelter and other relief goods. In the longer term, we help reunite families who have been separated by conflict or disaster. The Red Cross also helps prepare communities to cope better with disasters in the future.
In the UK, the British Red Cross can call on 35,000 trained volunteers to deliver a wide range of services from first aid training to emergency response, loaning medical equipment to helping people who have returned home from hospital.
